14TH AUGUST CELEBRATION

14th August is a red-letter day in the history of Pakistan. On this historic occasion, Pakistan appeared on the map of the world. This day is celebrated each year in Pakistan. It was celebrated with great pomp and show this year.

The day began with the prayers in all mosques for the progress and prosperity of the country. The national flag was hoisted at 8 a.m. Just after it the Natinal Anthem was recited. It was a great impressive scence. Every body was standing still at his place listening to the National Anthem.
It second like a Eid-day Every body was clad in the national dress. There was not a single house in Pakistan which was not decorated with buntings and national flags. Radio and T.V were presenting Independence Day programmes. At night all the buildings were illuminated. In the way this day was celebrated with great pomp and show.
